1. Account session
When you sign in, a secure first-party session cookie (mpl_session) supports authenticated account access. The current session cookie is configured with a maximum age of approximately 30 days; ending the session or deleting the account clears or invalidates access.
2. Smart Link analytics identifier
Public Smart Links can set a first-party cookie (mpl_vid) for estimating unique visitors and analyzing link performance. It is configured for approximately 180 days. This is an analytics identifier, not required merely to view a creator's published links. Location, source and device information may also be measured.
3. Creator-enabled advertising Pixels
Pro creators may configure optional Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel integrations. Where regional rules require prior consent, neither advertising Pixel loads on a public Smart Link until the visitor affirmatively allows it. Elsewhere, the banner is not automatically displayed, but visitors can use the Smart Link footer's Tracking choices to opt out at any time. A Global Privacy Control signal blocks optional advertising tracking. Rejecting does not block viewing or using the link. One choice covers the configured advertising Pixels on that specific Smart Link; changing the Pixel configuration requires a new choice. Visitors can reopen Tracking choices on the public Smart Link to change their preference. Choosing Reject after prior consent reloads the page to stop further browser events from the previous Pixel session. Creators are responsible for lawful use and disclosures.
4. My Play Link marketing Pixel
My Play Link's optional TikTok marketing Pixel is separate from the Pixels configured by individual creators. It loads after affirmative consent in regions that require prior opt-in. Elsewhere it may load without showing a banner, subject to Global Privacy Control and visitors' tracking choices. Our separate campaign-attribution token remains opt-in only. The first-party campaign token mpl_mkt is set only after opting in and expires after approximately 30 days. It helps report tagged first-touch campaign results. We do not intentionally send subscribers' emails, login codes, payment methods or Stripe session IDs as Pixel event parameters.
5. Your choices and regional requirements
Optional advertising tracking asks for consent upfront in selected regions that require it (including the EEA, UK and Switzerland). In other regions, the banner is not shown automatically, but Tracking choices remains available on applicable Smart Links. If the visitor location cannot be determined, we ask before enabling advertising Pixels. Browser settings may restrict or remove cookies, which can affect login sessions and analytics accuracy. A browser's cookie controls are not necessarily an adequate legal substitute for a required consent or opt-out interface. We seek to apply consent and opt-out controls based on the visitor location and available privacy signals; privacy questions can be sent to the contact identified in this notice.
6. Change advertising tracking choices
For a creator's public Smart Link, use its Tracking choices link to allow or reject optional Meta and TikTok Pixels on that link. My Play Link's own marketing tracking has a separate preference; you can reject its marketing tracking here. You can also remove cookies through browser settings.
